Final Fantasy VIII - Queen of Cards Quest on Disk 4
One of the most tedious, time consuming things to do on FFVIII is to complete the queen of cards side quest. It can take many hours of moving between towns and losing rare cards. However it is well worth doing if your a game perfectionist as it gives you access to 5 new rare cards: Chubby Chocobo, Phoenix, Doomtrain, Kiros and Irvine.
Fortunately once you have made it to disk 4 you can simply challenge the queen of cards and she will play each of the rare cards. The only catch is that she is (in my opinion) the hardest card player to beat due to the fact that she combines plus, random and other rules with boss, player, and GF cards. However it is still much quicker to acquire the Chubby Chocobo, Phoenix, Doomtrain, Kiros and Irvine cards this way.
To find the queen of cards on disk 4 go to the bottom of the Esthar continent and look for an area called the "Abadan Plains". You cannot see it from the world map but there is actually the crashed lunar escape pod from disk 3 on the tip of the Eastern Peninsular. Run around near the tip and eventually you will bump into it. Here you will find the queen of cards standing next to the crashed lunar escape pod.
As previously mentioned she can be tough to beat, to stand a chance of winning you are going to have to have a basic understanding of how the "plus" rule works. If your not sure how it works not to worry, it's pretty simple. Basically if a card is placed next to 2 other cards and both sides that are touching add up to the same number plus will occur. For example if you had a card that had the number 6 that was touching another card that had the number 4 and another side of your card had the number 7 that was touching a card with a 3 both sides add up to 10 and hence plus would occur. The game has a pretty decent card tutorial with pictures so make sure you check that out if you don't understand. Elemental does not effect plus by the way.
I highly recommend you save before each card battle as the plus and random rules may cause you to lose your rare cards to her which you definitely do not want. Also make sure you save after you win a rare card from her.

Final Fantasy VII - Say Hello To The Bad Guys
Final Fantasy VII is widely considered to be one of the greatest videogames of all time. Despite being released in 1997, fans of the game still find themselves greatly attached to it. It seems like with every new generation of consoles comes a cry for Final Fantasy VII to be remade.
What was it that has made this game so popular? In my opinion there are two reasons. The first being the complexity of the storyline which contained eco terrorism, global corporatocracy, an alien threat, a love triangle and perhaps the most memorable villain in videogame history - Sephiroth. This brings me to the second reason, Final Fantasy VII had a fantastic cast of villains which helped the player get behind the good guys.
Along with Sephiroth there were five other main villainous forces in FFVII as well a host of other lackeys and antagonists.
At the very beginning of FFVII the main enemy of your party is President Shinra. President Shinra is head of Shinra Corp, a company who began life as a weapons manufacturer and later became energy providers through their Mako energy project. President Shinra is an incredibly greedy man: not content by the corporatocracy he has created he also wishes the find The Promised Land, a land brimming over with Mako energy. Mako energy, while much more convenient, is produced through the converting the Lifestream which is the blood of the planet. This means that Shinra's business is literally killing the planet. President Shinra dies relatively early in the game - killed by the sword of Sephiroth.
President Shinra is succeeded by his son Rufus who runs the company in a slightly different way, using fear rather than money to control the people. He still maintained the same goal as his father however.
At the head of the Mako research is Professor Hojo. Hojo runs a series of what most people would consider immoral scientific projects and very much enjoys "playing God". He is directly responsible for the birth of Sephiroth the games main villain and also to blame for Cloud's identity crisis.
Like more governments, Shinra had an intelligence agency called The Turks. The Turks are a shady organization who attempt and succeed in kidnapping Aerith from your party. While you are able to recover Aerith The Turks seem to appear around every corner to offer resistance against your team of fighters.
The main villain though is most definitely Sephiroth. Sephiroth worked as a SOLDIER for Shinra before learning that he was the result of a scientific experiment. He mistakenly believes himself to be a demigod as he is born of Jenova's cells (more on that later). The most villainous act Sephiroth commits is the killing of Aerith one of the games main characters. This was a revolutionary plot twists as far as videogames were concerned at that time and is part of the reason FFVII is so memorable. Sephiroth also uses his immense powers to summon a comet that will destroy the earth.
In many ways the truly evil force in the game is Jenova. Jenova is an alien entity that came to earth thousands of years prior to the game and tricked the Cetra people and infected them with a disease which nearly wiped them all out. While its motives for doing this aren't entirely clear it is most likely that Jenova wished to destroy all living beings so that it could leech off the Lifestream of the planet. However Jenova was sealed off (it is not mentioned by whom but perhaps the last surviving Cetra managed it) where it was trapped for two thousand years.
It was later dug up by Shinra who believed Jenova to be one of the Cetras with the potential power to lead them to The Promised Land. Professor Hojo used cells from Jenova in many of experiments one of which was the creation of Sephiroth.
After Sephiroth had killed President Shinra he began a question to reunite all the parts of Jenova which had separated. At this point Jenova was in total control of Sephiroth who was merely doing his "mother's" bidding.
Of course at the end of the game good was able to triumph over evil and Sephiroth and Jenova were defeated, but were they killed? Judging on Advent Children, a movie follow-up to FFVII, Jenova is still very much alive and has the capability to bring Sephiroth back to life.
An ending such as this leaves game makers Square Enix in the position to make a true Final Fantasy VII sequel - a sequel that would be widely welcomed by fans of FFVII. Will we see one? I suspect that, sooner or later, we certainly will.

Street Fighter X Tekken Adds Final Fight
What was there: Street Fighter Producer Yoshinori Ono on stage to talk about various projects he worked, including Street Fighter Tekken X.
What they talked Ono began his speech with a slide that said: "Dark Stalkers are not dead." He said he returned to his bosses in Japan with the evidence that supports a Darkstalkers Thurs as an image of the 2010 Comic-Con attendees to take dollar bills, pledged their support for a new fighting game in the series. Ono said that was not enough, so he asked the participants to Comic-Con 2011 to give a bill 10 (or even a $ 20 bill), so that it can take a picture and let his head. The crowd obliged.
He then went on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, both of which have GGPO grid code (a preference for online play in the fight against the community) and a new tournament mode and the usual range ofvisual filters. Ono thanked the fans for helping make this possible.Ono then discussed Super Street Fighter IV Arcade edition and said that based on audience reaction at Comic-Con (or lack thereof) to speak with him, was to guess that the fans are not completely satisfied. But he was ready to have a slide that asked fans to send comments to re-tune and balance Capcom-Unity and Twitter feeds Ono.
Before Tekken Street Fighter X, Ono showed a slide of a Hello Kitty dressed as Chun-Li. He said it was not possible to specify what the project by name, but fans can guess what it is.
As for Street Fighter Tekken X, Part Ono gameplay detailed. The first showed his name will cross, which is essentially a combination system that allows players to score their partners, who then complete the combination. He also showed cancel switch, which allows players to switch characters. In addition, Ono has said that all the characters are great art that moves Ryu are "Shinku Hadouken", but all the characters in Tekken have moved from the samples of art throughout the franchise since the original Namco technique is not comparable. The last two were for the gameplay and the cross supercharge attack. Super special move up charges on three levels, but the third level, it will automatically step to a great art without the help of the grave yards of the Cross, with normal use of a great art. Finally, the cross and dramatic battle mode of attack of the Alpha series, Ono says that only the most strategic, but did not specify what he meant.
Ono also gave an overview of the new characters for the game announced this week, including poisons and Dhalsim from Street Fighter universe, and Steve and Yoshimitsu from the world of Tekken. It is interesting to note that Ono has also shown a trailer with other characters that have not yet been officially announced as part of the grid, like Mike Haggar, Guy, Cody, and Hugo.
The takeaway: Speaking of Street Fighter Tekken X, Ono took a long time for his "feud" with the Tekken benadrukken Harada manufacturer with a sketch that shows the struggle between two thirteen Harada challenges whether the failure should be included in the grid. Yet it was good to see Darkstalkers is always in mind and Ono had a sense of humor about his work.
