Gatling Gears Review

Gatling Gears is an exciting shooter that everyone will enjoy, from kindergarten kids to 59 yr old gamers. You pilot your ship through a mayhem of enemies and the shooting never stops. Bullets are flying everywhere and you have to try hard not to get hit. Enemy units will be swarming around you and your little ship is all that stands in the way of them destroying Mistbound, a world you swore to protect.

Vanguard Games designed this awesome game and done a pretty good job. You play a character called Max Brawley. In the co-op mode, his niece is his team mate and together they form a terrible duo. A hostile empire wants to annihilate Mistbound and they are depending on you to stop the evil invaders. You will use a dual stick to combat the enemy.

The left stick controls the gears and the right one fires your gun. The triggers on the left and right can fire a grenade launcher or a missile at a long range target. You will need long range weapons more often than you may think necessary. The ammunition will be replenished after you fire. The controls are not smooth and you will find it a bit awkward to use. They may not respond instantly and you'll be praying each time you use them.

This becomes a real problem when you're in the thick of it and your weapons aren't exactly behaving. Fortunately, the game isn't all that difficult to play. It may be a little hard but you are bound to finish the game in about 5 hours or so.

You collect money and use it to upgrade your weapons. There are plenty of gold bars to collect and by the end of the game you will have so much money, you won't know what to do with it. At least you won't be short of weapons with all that cash on hand.

The graphics are beautiful. Vanguard Games done an excellent job in the graphics department and the beautiful scenes will have you marvel at each level. This will encourage you to continue to the next level and the next and so on. You will cross deserts, forests, marshlands and many other terrains, each more exciting than the last and all of them have such marvelous scenery you will feel a kind of regret when you finish that level.

You can always change the difficulty level if you find the game too easy. If you re-play the game several times it will be more challenging to play on a higher difficulty level to enhance your experience.

All the characters have special attacks they can use and this adds another twist to the game. The music is lovely and blends in with the scenery and the action taking place. Whether you are fighting or simply cruising along, the music will put you in the mood of being in a faraway land of make belief and you won't want to return in a hurry.

Regardless of which mode you play, co-op or single player, Gatling Gears will provide long hours of entertainment and you will surely want to play it again after you finish the game.

Gears of War 3 - What All Gamers Have Been Waiting For!

Gears of War 3 will be the next release of the storied Gears of War franchise that was supposed to be released on April 2011 but has been delayed. This game is now slated to be released on September 20, 2011. This will be the third installment of the Gear of War series and will wrap up the storyline.

Gears of War 3 is a 3rd-person shooter video game that was created by Epic Games and released exclusively for the Xbox 360 console with Microsoft Games Studios. For the first time since this series has been released, the game will feature a four-player co-op. Certain parts of the game also allow players to utilize fully controllable mech suits which are called silverbacks and are equipped with a rocket launcher and machine gun.

This latest release can be played in two operating modes. The assault mode will let you play by controlling the characters movements in a normal way, while the stationary mode is played with the character locked into a position with armor and cover.

The Gears of War 3 game will feature new enemies to battle with which include Locust and Lambent enemies. The new cast of Locust enemies include the Digger Boomer, the Kantus Knight, Savage Grenadier, the Locust Siege Beast and the return of the notorious Berserkers. New Lambent enemies include Lambent Stalks, Polyps, Drudges and Lambent Berserkers.

To help you defeat these powerful enemies, there are new additions in the weaponry which include the Digger Launcher which launches tiny digging creatures through the ground at very high speeds and then explodes. Other weapons include the Incendiary Grenades, the Sawed-off Shotgun, the Retro Lancer which is a lancer that has a bayonet attached to it, and the One Shot weapon which will enable you to kill multiple enemies in just one shot but is very heavy to carry and will slow you down.

Female contingents of the game will be happy to know that this game features there are three new female playable characters that will be introduced which are Anya Stroud, Samantha Byrne and Bernadette Mataki who is a character from the novels by Karent Traviss. The new playable characters for the 3rd instalment of this game will also include Griffin, the group leader of the Stranded which is a band of human survivors, and Jace Stratton who is an experienced soldier in battles which was already featured in the comic series and was mentioned in the previous game. Griffin will be voiced by Ice-T, the actress Claudia Black will do the voice for Samantha and the actor Michael Bakari Jordan will provide the voice for Jace.

Gears of War 3 also has a new mode called Beast mode. It is similar to the Horde mode that was in Gears of War 2 but the difference is that the players will attack COG members as a Locust creature. Players earn tokens each time enemies are killed which will in turn allow the players to upgrade their characters into a stronger Locust class. There are several known Locust classes which include the Tickers, Boomers, Digger Boomers, Wretches, Butchers, Berserkers, Kantuses and Kantus Knights. The creators of this game have also kept Horde Mode in the 3rd installment of the game.

The story for the game was written by acclaimed science fiction writer Karen Traviss. The story will answer the major questions that players have been trying to find answers to since the first game came out, including the history of the world and the things that are going on. The beginning of the story is set 18 months after the fall of Jacinto. The Gears have already moved to the island of Vectes. The Cog has already been disbanded and Sera's cities were infected causing the members of the Locust to mutate and become Lambent.
