Five Dynamite Useful Tips For Call of Duty Black Ops

If you're a fan of the Call of Duty franchise, then here are some great tips you can use. For some of us; the idea to Prestige doesn't sound like fun. I mean you worked so hard to unlock everything. Why would you want to start all over again? If you made it to level (50) fifty, now is the time to unlock all the upgrades for your perks. The setup I most like to use is assault rifles, so my tips and tricks are for this setup.

Custom Setups -
Your custom setups - Having a variety of different set ups is a great facet to have during game play. For example I don't always use a rocket launcher with my favorite set up. I like to carry the cross-bow, pistol or throwing knife. It's advisable to have a rocket launcher, equipped in a custom set up to destroy enemy attack choppers. You can easily switch between classes once you die, then you can load the set up with the rocket launcher and destroy the attack chopper. Remember to design the custom setups, suitable for the games you generally play. I would recommend having one fast setup, meaning utilize the light foot pro for perk 1, perk 2 is your option, and perk 3 I use marathon pro. This setup is fast moving, since you have unlimited sprint, carrying the throwing knife works well with this set up. Many times with this set up I'm always achieving the highest points or most kills, and the same time I do die a fair amount.

Different Gun Attachments -
Understanding different attachments for your guns. Some attachments are not necessary to have equipped at all times. For example if you are playing team death match, the grenade launcher attachment might not be the best for this game. Where if you are play say demolition, the grenade launcher is great choice for shooting enemies around the bomb site. Also some guns, may require the suppressor, the suppressor will reduce the kick a guns puts off when you are shooting it. Think the commando gun, and famas guns; I find these guns are way more accurate to shoot with the suppressor attachment in place.

Using Claymores -
Claymores if used properly will get you extra kills every round. The key here is to place them in areas not easily seen. If you see an enemy's claymore all you need to do is shoot the claymore and destroy it. Place your claymores, behind doors, around corners, and in the well traveled paths hidden in the bushes.

Understanding Different Perks -
Many of the games you play may require a certain perk to be used over another. For example if you are playing capture the flag, you have to sprint to get the enemy flag to your home base. It's advisable to carry light weight and marathon, so you can run fast and can sprint for longer durations. For some games, wearing the flank jacket is a nice selection, since you won't die right away from all the grenades being thrown at you. Then second chance perk is nice to, since you don't die and many times can kill the person who just killed you. This perk is such a love hate relationship. Another trick is using the reload perk with the grenade launcher; I find the grenade launcher without using this perk takes a long time to reload.

Care Packages -
All too many times people select a kill streak you don't normally achieve. If you generally only reach a max kill streak at five kills. By all means don't select the attack dogs, as your kill streak. Design the kill streaks based on your skill, and set reachable kill streaks. The spy planes and counter spy planes are not the sexy kill streaks, but at the same time they can be very useful.

Take the time to understand how you play, and how good you truly are. Then design you load outs for your skill level. The idea is to get lots of kills and points, so you can unlock levels and guns.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

One of the most popular games recently released is Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox and PS3 gaming consoles. This game has been a big hit ever since it was out in the market on November 9, 2010. It is a first-person shooter game that was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.

Black Ops is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty franchise but is only the third game to be developed by Treyarch. Black Ops is the first in the series on the Cold War but is the sequel to the Call of Duty: World at War game.

It has accumulated more than $1 Billion in sales in the first six weeks upon release. It has broken records set by its predecessor Modern Warfare by at least 2.5 million copies. Its popularity keeps on growing all over the world. In Japan, there were game releases with subtitles and dubbed versions 1 month after the game was released into the market.

Call of Duty: Black Ops enables a player to assume the role of a soldier with access to various firearms (at most 2 can be carried at anytime), use lots of explosives including grenades, and use various weapons. The game closely resembles an adrenaline-rush battlefield and employs a kill or be killed strategy. A player can even choose to kill an enemy using a knife with just one blow.

The game depicts a realistic take on how people who go into battle. Players can easily be controlled to jump, run and walk. A player's posture can also be controlled. For instance, a player can take in a standing, crouching, or prone stance. Each stance will affect the player's speed, stealth and accuracy. A player can run for a short time but will become tired.

The player's health is indicated on the screen which will turn red to show extensive damage. One of the exciting features of this game is that when a grenade is thrown, a marker that indicates the grenade's direction will appear which can help the player either flee or throw back the grenade as long as the player is within the radius of the grenade's blast. Aside from guns and explosives, other weapons that can be used in the game are ballistic knives, crossbows with explosive ammunition and bolts, and Dragon's Breath rounds.

A player can assume the role of various in-game characters in the course of the single-player campaign with lots of perspective changing all throughout the game. The characters that can be played belong to the Special Forces group who are conducting black operations inside enemy territory.

Call of Duty: Black Ops features plenty of scripted cinematic moments including a bullet time effect in the "Victor Charlie" stage which is activated when the player shoots toward the very last member of a Viet Cong squadron.

One of the best features in Black Ops is that it can be used to play multiplayer online matches with other people from around the world. Players are divided into two teams that have different missions. In Team Deathmatch, the objective is to have more kills than the other team while in Capture the Flag, the players need to take the other team's flag and bring it into their base. There is also the "Free For All" setting where its every man for them self, players are not divided into teams in this setting.

Black Ops already has 14 maps and additional downloadable maps. It still retains the unlockable reward system and experience points that have been with the franchise since the fourth game. It also has a "Zombie cooperation mode" which was originally included in the World at War game.

Call of duty Black Ops is really one of the best games out there that will surely keep you entertained at home. It is the best selling game for the Xbox and PS3 consoles.

Black Ops Zombies Tips

When it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the "zombies" are the funnest part of the game, for me anyway. When I first started playing, I usually couldn't make it beyond level 3 or 4 without dying. This is because I hadn't used a few simple tricks to getting the power on and reaching the gas zombies.

USE YOUR KNIFE

This is the most common mistake that I made when I first started playing. Use the knife for the first three levels or more depending on your gaming ability. Here is a trick to knowing how many times you're going to have to stab the zombies to get them to die: 1 stab for each level. If you're on level two, it's going to take you two stabs to kill them; if you're on level three, it's going to take three stabs; however, this is all until you get "insta-kill", then even if you are on level 8, you should start cutting zombies, because it will only take one stab during the time period you have "insta-kill". Insta-kill looks like a little skull and you will hear a zombie whisper it once you've obtained it. It usually comes from killing a lot of zombies at once. You have especially hit the jackpot if you get both "insta-kill" and "double points", which looks like an "X2" at the bottom of your screen. Knife stabs should generate about 130 points per kill. Remember to back up after each stab, since the zombies will most likely swing at you if you don't kill them the first stab.

WEAPON CHOICE

Weapon choice is absolutely the most important thing for killing the zombies late into the game. You don't want to get your weapon too soon, I'd initially wait for level 4 to start using weapons for the reasons mentioned above. The weapon of choice should be the shotgun. It only uses two shells at a time, but one shot kills the zombies instantly, 99.9% of the time anyway. Wait until level 4 to buy the shotgun, or any other weapon for that matter.

PLAY SINGLE PLAYER

Double player makes it a lot harder on you. The screen is smaller, so you cannot view with good detail, you cannot buy a "revive" and two player revive just isn't the same since there can't be any zombies around whenever the 2nd player revives you anyway, or else the 2nd player will most likely get struck from behind.

BEWARE OF THE 6

If you've ever looked behind you on the wall to where you first start out in the lobby you will see "beware of the six" written in white paint. This is simply warning you from the level 5 "demon dogs" that are on fire and charge you at lightning speeds. The approach to beat them is actually more simple than than the zombies. Get back into a corner "usually where the revive machine is" and shoot in front of the dogs as they're charging towards you, this will give it enough time so that you hit the dog, because if you aim it at the dog, by the time you pull the trigger he's going to be in front of you. You usually won't see the dogs right at level 5 if you've already died and been revived once before level 5, so try to stay active for the first 5 levels.

REBUILD THE BARRIERS

These are perhaps the easiest points you can get and it is also better for you because you have more warnings of zombies coming through them rather than them just crawling out of opening spaces. There are four barriers that can be rebuild in a matter of seconds in the lobby. You can even shoot zombies and stab zombies while rebuilding the barriers. There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't rebuild those barriers.

The New "Escalation" Map Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops

In the last few days, the developers for Call of Duty: Black Ops have announced their second download-able content pack, "Escalation." This map pack includes 4 new multi-player maps and one new zombies map.

Hotel - The Swanky Havannah HotelConvoy - Aftermath of A Fictional Soviet Ambush in Old School AmericaZoo - An Abandoned Soviet Era ZooStockpile - A Suburban Russian VillageCall of The Dead - Zombies Map

Each of these multiplayer maps bring something new to the game, and they all work to increase the variety of gameplay that a player will encounter. In the developer interviews they discussed the demand for a wider range of engagement distances, meaning longer distance shots for snipers, and tighter corners for the run-and-gunners, and from the looks of these new maps I'd say they nailed it.

Multiplayer Map - "Hotel"

This swanky rooftop hotel in Cuba features a plethora of tight corners and flank paths that lend themselves to a "Run and gun" play style. Players who move fast on their feet will love the tight corners, and those who prefer to hunker down and camp may find themselves getting stabbed in the back a little more than usual.

"Hotel" also features a user-controllable elevator, allowing you to transit between the upper and lower levels of the hotel. Controlling the upper levels is key if you favor long-range engagement. A few sniper roosts sit above the pool area providing a great over-watch position, but watch your back or you'll end up getting humiliated.

Multiplayer Map - "Convoy"

If the soviets were to ambush an old-school American convoy, this is what the aftermath would look like. A giant hole has been blown out of the roadway, and a few divider walls separate the map. This map is divided up into a couple linear engagement channels that any assault rifle junkie would love, with a few stairways connecting the channels together.

This map provides some great engagement distance, but it also features enough protective cover to keep the short-range enthusiasts alive.

Multiplayer Map - "Zoo"

The only thing you should expect to see at this zoo is a few hostiles and your allies. This abandoned zoo features a range of elevation points providing some great over-watch positions. A monorail system flows throughout the map, allowing you to quickly travel between points, but leaving you fairly exposed to fire from below.

This map is probably best compared to "Carnival" on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with it's larger areas and longer engagement distances. Expect to see some great camouflage backgrounds here, perfect to blend in with.

Multiplayer Map - "Stockpile"

This suburban Russian village is the home of a munitions stockpile. Expect house to house fire fights, and gain the upper hand by controlling the central building complete with user-controlled garage doors. This map provides the greatest variety of engagement distances, and it looks to be one of the largest maps for multiplayer gameplay. No matter what your game style, you should be able to find something in this map that suits you.

The central building on this map also features user-controlled garage doors, allowing you to lock the building down when it's under your control. These user-controlled features add a lot more to the gameplay in Black Ops, and it adds another level of strategy to the game.

Overall this map pack looks really interesting, and I can't wait to load them up and start playing.

Good Article on Call of Duty Black Ops

Who loves Call of Duty? I know I do.

Call of Duty Black Ops is not only real with fiction, its just AMAZING. The graphics, the gameplay, its an all around great game to buy/share and this is a good article on Call of Duty Black Ops.

In this Call of Duty it has a few different tricks and gadgets plus some throwbacks like zombies, scoped crossbows, remote control cars that detonate in someones face, a controlled attack helicopter and best of all ZOMBIES. What gets better then that? Probably the fact that it takes place in 1968 during the Cold War, you control troops and try to stop the Russians from succeeding in world domination. There's just so much more in this game then most others.

The game-play is pretty much like the other Call of Duty's except in this one its running, jumping, crouching, proneing, driving and flying are much more detailed and just all around sicker. The Campaign gets really into the main character Mason who awakes strapped down to a chair and getting zapped to pretty much remember what happened in his past for an answer for the people on the other side of the window, I won't ruin it for you so I'll end the campaign segment there.

There is money involved which makes the multiplayer adventure through levels interesting. Like always there are zooming lethals, crazy tacticals, intelligent equipment, hot Perks, killer Kill-streaks and incredible guns plus now you can give your character face paints for every class, add camouflage to your primary guns and choose what kind of reflex sight colors and rectile you want which will all cost some money but is worth it in the end.

Instead of prestiging at level 70 in multiplayer like in Modern Warfare 2 you prestige at level 50 and instead of there being 10 prestige's there are now 15. For those who don't know what prestiging is, it is when you advance so far in multiplayer that you can choose to prestige and when you do it it will have pros and cons. The pros are that you get a cool symbol and each time you prestige the symbol is different then the last and you also get more options for challenges. The cons are that you start all over with pretty much everything besides your stats.

Zombies are the main reason I play Call of Duty sometimes. In Call of Duty Black Ops you will find that the zombie maps are pretty insane and hard to get far sometimes but don't give up. There are 3 maps you get with this game like Kino Der Toten, *Five* and Dead Ops arcade plus you can buy other previous maps from Call of Duty: World at War which are Nacht Der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese also buy the first strike map pack and you will get more multiplayer maps plus Ascension which is pretty gnarley.
