A Guide To Burning Xbox 360 Games Using a Game Burner

One of the ways to ensure that Xbox 360 gamers continue to enjoy their games without any interruption is to create a backup system that will preserve their most favorite games. Creating backups is as essential as the main game itself considering that the disc technology has not yet been perfected. A minor scratch could already destroy the gaming experience of an Xbox user and cause many frustrations.

There are actually many game burner software's available in the market but nothing comes close to a first-rate game burner application. This type of game burning software is the easiest, fastest, and safest application to run and make copies of your choice games. By using this program, you no longer have to spend precious dollars on DVD replacements, which are also similarly prone to deterioration over time. Some Xbox games could be even be pricier than the others simply because they are more popular and in demand. But having a backup means ensuring that your Xbox experience need not be too expensive.

A good game burner software should work well with both Microsoft and Apple operating systems. Users need not be anxious about not being able to run the application on their computer since it is ready even for the latest operation systems. It must also be able to run well on XP, Vista, Windows 7 and OSX systems. Its version 4 should not only be designed to work around the new Intel series but should also work great with AMD, Celeron and Core 2 Duo units.

The creators have also improved the latest version with faster burning speed. The latest release can now burn Xbox games at 16x without making any read error. This improved burn speed technology definitely puts a great game burner over and on top of any game burner applications in the market.

The application's graphical user interface is also user-friendly and very easy to follow. In fact, if you open the application's window, you would notice that the only thing really left for you to do is to just click the burn icon. This simplicity and ease of use and all its outstanding features are probably the reasons why the application has already received 10 awards since its release in 2008. So if you want to start saving money but without the hassle of using complicated and unreliable game burning programs, you should get a copy of a prime game burner and start creating backups of your Xbox 360 games.

Bastion Review

What makes for a great rounded game? It has to have a good story, with good gameplay and narratives, and the graphics and sound must be brilliant. Enough to inspire the gamer to play on, despite the difficulties he may encounter in the game. If any of this is missing or bad, the gamer is likely to give up and abandon the game. Bastion has none of these. The graphics are average, the music does not seem to fit the game all that well, and the narrative is a guy who talks in short, straight forward sentences. His voice is rough and uncultured. You will hate listening to it. He talks continually, with no pause, telling you what to do, where to go, advising you, and then you realize if he wasn't there, you would be lost. So eventually you depend on him, lean on him and he becomes your guardian angel and your mentor. Without him, you would surely lose the game.

The game is long. It may take you two solid days to play to the end. The storyline goes like this. The world has almost ended. You play the hero who comes to the rescue. Your task is to find some rocks and bring them back to the Bastion. Caelondia has to be rebuilt and only you can do it.

There are plenty of enemy combatants you will encounter on your journey. Fortunately, you have a range of weapons to protect yourself. Bows, arrows, pikes, shields, knives, guns, and some other surprises that will keep the game very addictive. You will really enjoy using these weapons to pound your enemies into submission. There are many different obstacles and enemies to overcome.

The developer, known as Supergiant, wanted to make a game that required the gamer to think all the time. They didn't want him or her to lazily play through the game, half asleep, so they made it that you have to concentrate on what you are doing all the time. If you relax your guard for one second, you will surely die. There are so many bad encounters awaiting an unsuspecting gamer, you will learn early in the game you can't let your guard down for an instant.

You must listen intently to the narrative, so that you know what you have to do, and stay focused on your goal. This game is filled with action, from start to finish. It gets more difficult and complicated as you progress from one level to the next. Each level is filled with new challenges and obstacles. Nothing seems to stay the same. There are no repetitive movements and fighting scenes that become boring after a while. You are pushed from one extreme to the next. Piece by piece you unravel the mysterious that surround you.

This game becomes intoxicating and you will delve deeper and deeper into its mysterious puzzles as you venture along. If you like role playing, then this is your dream come true. Bastion is after all a well rounded game, but you only realize that at the end. So keep playing and it will all come together.

Final Fantasy VIII - Queen of Cards Quest on Disk 4

One of the most tedious, time consuming things to do on FFVIII is to complete the queen of cards side quest. It can take many hours of moving between towns and losing rare cards. However it is well worth doing if your a game perfectionist as it gives you access to 5 new rare cards: Chubby Chocobo, Phoenix, Doomtrain, Kiros and Irvine.
Fortunately once you have made it to disk 4 you can simply challenge the queen of cards and she will play each of the rare cards. The only catch is that she is (in my opinion) the hardest card player to beat due to the fact that she combines plus, random and other rules with boss, player, and GF cards. However it is still much quicker to acquire the Chubby Chocobo, Phoenix, Doomtrain, Kiros and Irvine cards this way.

To find the queen of cards on disk 4 go to the bottom of the Esthar continent and look for an area called the "Abadan Plains". You cannot see it from the world map but there is actually the crashed lunar escape pod from disk 3 on the tip of the Eastern Peninsular. Run around near the tip and eventually you will bump into it. Here you will find the queen of cards standing next to the crashed lunar escape pod.

As previously mentioned she can be tough to beat, to stand a chance of winning you are going to have to have a basic understanding of how the "plus" rule works. If your not sure how it works not to worry, it's pretty simple. Basically if a card is placed next to 2 other cards and both sides that are touching add up to the same number plus will occur. For example if you had a card that had the number 6 that was touching another card that had the number 4 and another side of your card had the number 7 that was touching a card with a 3 both sides add up to 10 and hence plus would occur. The game has a pretty decent card tutorial with pictures so make sure you check that out if you don't understand. Elemental does not effect plus by the way.

I highly recommend you save before each card battle as the plus and random rules may cause you to lose your rare cards to her which you definitely do not want. Also make sure you save after you win a rare card from her.

Mario and Sonic - From 90s Entertainment Rivalry to the London 2012 Olympic Games

Back in the heady days of the 90s, Mario and Sonic were poles apart. They were at the centre of a digitally vicious rivalry that ranked up there with Blur and Oasis. However, as time has passed old wounds have healed and a new era in the history of Mario the plumbing mushroom slayer and Sonic the Hedgehog. Not only have Nintendo and Sega forgiven and forgotten, but then are now partners in some of the best in computer games entertainment to hit the shelves.

Believe it or not, but Nintendo has been around since 1889, when it manufactured "Hanafuda" (flower) Japanese playing cards in Kyoto. It wasn't until the 1970s that they started to get technical, but by the 1980s they's become a superpower in computer games entertainment thanks to the huge success of Arcade Game and Game & Watch product line, Donkey Kong, created by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto. The protagonist in the game was one carpenter by the name of Jumpman and his challenge was to rescue his girlfriend Pauline from the grizzly gorilla. As we all know, that carpenter would later be renamed Mario and a whole beautiful saga was born.

Sega, meanwhile, got into games much earlier than Nintendo, developing and distributing arcade style games from the early 1950s. However, throughout the eighties, it was Alex the Kid, the first game released on the Mastersystem, that would be the companies main star. Cue 1991 and the introduction of Sonic the Hedghog, and all of that changed forever. This left Mario with near complete dominance on the NES with Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3 throughout the 1980s.

The 1990s saw the console wars between Nintendo's SNES and Sega's Megadrive/Genesis rise to boiling point. And so it fell to their joint respective bastions of gaming excellence, Mario and Sonic, to carry their digital torch to the masses. Kids in schoolyards all around the world divided into one of two camps; plumbers or spinners.

Mario struck the first killer blow with Super Mario World with the release of the SNES in 1990. However, Sega responded quickly after that with the Megadrive/Genesis hyper-speed releas of Sonic the Hedgehog in 1991. This was quickly followed by a series of Sonic games unleashed on the entertainment news world without a single SNES response from Mario. However, releases on the handheld console, Gameboy, meant that Mario was still causing thumb blisters throughout the 90s.

Nintendo would stick with a single, big hitting Mario platform game for each of its successive games consoles following the SNES; Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 and Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo Gamecube. However, Sega failed to replicate this with their first console, the Sega Saturn, and the main Dreamcast game, Sonic Adventures, wasn't enough to keep the failing console from being the final death nail in Sega's console war.

From here on in, Sega continued on with a purely games creation operation and their first Sonic game to go over to the Nintendo darkside was Sonic Adventures, which came out on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2003. This was the beginning of many ports, and now, not only do some of the best computer games on Nintendo consoles feature Sonic the Hedgehog and friends, they feature both Mario and Sonic. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games was the first of these and was followed shortly afterwards with the eagerly anticipated release of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Now there is a third incarnation in Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic games, so the big question is when will we get to see them join forces in a classic 3D platform game. Maybe the recently announced Nintendo Wii U console will be the first to push the boundaries of the old, bitter rivalry once again.

How to Start a Nintendo NES Video Game Collection

As a growing adult, I love remembering my child hood, and thinking about video games I played. I loved to play the Nintendo NES video game system. The older the console gets the more nostalgic the console appears to gamers everywhere. The Nintendo NES is by far and away one of the best video game consoles ever. Obtaining many of the games for this system is becoming harder and harder. For games in very good to like new condition that is. So how should one go about starting a Nintendo NES collection?

How to Get Started

First make a list of all the games there are for the NES, you can find a PDF from Nintendo.com. You also can see a pretty accurate list from Wikipedia. Then I would run a few searches for the rarest nes games out there. This way you have knowledge of the holy grail of nes games are, in case you happen to stumble across one of them. This is bringing me up to my next point; you need to know what the values of the games are worth. Many times you will be looking in stores, garage sales, pawn shops. Hoping to find a deal on a game, that someone else has no idea about. It definitely would help you in your quest to find a bargain if you know the value of a certain game is. You will notice while you are collecting most of the most expensive games, are probably some of the worst games to actually play. This is one contributing factor to a game being rare, if the game didn't have a demand to play, it wasn't sold much. In turn, in today's standards this would make this game a rarity.

Where to Buy & Find the Games

Many times being a collector of say NES games, its way better to buy these games in person rather than online. Sure online you can find any NES game, but you also have to take that another persons opinion of the condition of the game. Many times in person, you can look at the game label for scratches, the cartridge shell itself for scratches, scuffs, and other markings. If you were to buy these games online, you wouldn't be able to visibly see any imperfections. People are often trying to hide imperfects hoping to make a sale using photo editing software.

I would suggest checking out many of your local used video game stores, which specialize in selling used and old video games. These are fantastic spots to find many uncommon, and some rare games. Like I mentioned above these shops give you the opportunity to look, feel and touch these games before you buy them.

Some tips to remember when buying an NES game you should look for
a. The Label is it clean? no scratches, nice label with a vibrant color.
b. The end label is important to be clean as well, no peeling in the corners.
c. The back label, make sure it is clean from scratches and or scuffs.
d. The overall look of the cartridge shell, make sure it doesn't have any sun damage, or any sticker residue.

Once you begin to start buying these games, cleaning the games become important as well. Many collectors take the time to open the NES Games open. You will need to buy yourself a Nintendo Game Bit to do this. Once you have the game opened, you want to polish the connectors on the game. Use an eraser to remove any carbons, dust and other debris on the contacts. Then polish the connectors with a shirt or a polishing cloth to remove any eraser sediments. The game should look great, and be ready to play and enjoyed.

This is a pretty basic guide to use in hopes to start a fun hobby as collecting NES games. You will soon find out many people collect video games, as much as collecting baseball cards.

Wii Game Copies

Thousands of you are looking for how to copy your Wii games.

Nintendo has set your Wii so that if the console is opened even just once... the warranty on your Wii is voided. Not only is the warranty voided.... from the moment you open your Wii you will be unable to process the regular updates on your Wii.

Common sense tells you to avoid any program offered to do anything that asks you to open your Wii console.

So what do you do if you want to make Wii game copies? Is it even legal to do that? If so... is there software somewhere that will do it for you?

It is legal to copy Wii games. However.... there is a lot of promotions for copying Wii games out there that you have to watch out for.

There are several guides that pretend to be software. It turns out they are only guides to certain software.. and usually it is software that proves to be completely unreliable and even dangerous to your Wii.

The guides are just that.. guides that show you how to use the software that will not work.

There are other methods offered that ask you to do just what Nintendo warns you not to do... to open your Wii console. Stay away from any program that wants you to do that if you want to keep your warranty in place and be able to continue to update your Wii.

There is a "do it yourself" method of copying Wii games that is long and complicated and fine for techies who eat and sleep technology. That most likely is not you or you would be busy redoing your Wii to copy your games instead of reading this.

There are only a handful of legitimate software programs that will make good clean copies of your Wii games.

After researching all of them.... and getting feedback from users.. I have come to the conclusion that there are only a handful of software programs out there for making copies of Wii games that is worthy of buying.

In your hunt for a good program there are certain points you want to look for and you should search until you find one that meets all or most of these points.

You want to make sure it makes good solid, clean, complete and playable backup copies every time. Many of them make very sloppy incomplete copies which prove to be just a wasted disc. You do not want a program for which you will need a college degree in technology to be able to run it.You may be looking for just Wii game copies right now... but you should look for software that will copy almost any game made by any company... whether it be Xbox, Xbox 360, PC3, Gamecube, Dreamcast. It should also copy any video you wish to copy.. including your movies and video files off the computer. You want one solid complete software program that will solve all your DVD backup worries... Wii and anything else you may have invested in.In addition....you want a piece of software that is affordable.

The software you are looking for will be the best investment you make to protect your Wii game investment.

Therefore.. you want to make sure you find a program that will meet all of the above points.

Once you have found that software... your question will have been answered.... problem solved.

Amy has been testing backup software for the Nintendo Wii for most of the past eight months. You can see her results here... the Wii Game Backup.

Five Dynamite Useful Tips For Call of Duty Black Ops

If you're a fan of the Call of Duty franchise, then here are some great tips you can use. For some of us; the idea to Prestige doesn't sound like fun. I mean you worked so hard to unlock everything. Why would you want to start all over again? If you made it to level (50) fifty, now is the time to unlock all the upgrades for your perks. The setup I most like to use is assault rifles, so my tips and tricks are for this setup.

Custom Setups -
Your custom setups - Having a variety of different set ups is a great facet to have during game play. For example I don't always use a rocket launcher with my favorite set up. I like to carry the cross-bow, pistol or throwing knife. It's advisable to have a rocket launcher, equipped in a custom set up to destroy enemy attack choppers. You can easily switch between classes once you die, then you can load the set up with the rocket launcher and destroy the attack chopper. Remember to design the custom setups, suitable for the games you generally play. I would recommend having one fast setup, meaning utilize the light foot pro for perk 1, perk 2 is your option, and perk 3 I use marathon pro. This setup is fast moving, since you have unlimited sprint, carrying the throwing knife works well with this set up. Many times with this set up I'm always achieving the highest points or most kills, and the same time I do die a fair amount.

Different Gun Attachments -
Understanding different attachments for your guns. Some attachments are not necessary to have equipped at all times. For example if you are playing team death match, the grenade launcher attachment might not be the best for this game. Where if you are play say demolition, the grenade launcher is great choice for shooting enemies around the bomb site. Also some guns, may require the suppressor, the suppressor will reduce the kick a guns puts off when you are shooting it. Think the commando gun, and famas guns; I find these guns are way more accurate to shoot with the suppressor attachment in place.

Using Claymores -
Claymores if used properly will get you extra kills every round. The key here is to place them in areas not easily seen. If you see an enemy's claymore all you need to do is shoot the claymore and destroy it. Place your claymores, behind doors, around corners, and in the well traveled paths hidden in the bushes.

Understanding Different Perks -
Many of the games you play may require a certain perk to be used over another. For example if you are playing capture the flag, you have to sprint to get the enemy flag to your home base. It's advisable to carry light weight and marathon, so you can run fast and can sprint for longer durations. For some games, wearing the flank jacket is a nice selection, since you won't die right away from all the grenades being thrown at you. Then second chance perk is nice to, since you don't die and many times can kill the person who just killed you. This perk is such a love hate relationship. Another trick is using the reload perk with the grenade launcher; I find the grenade launcher without using this perk takes a long time to reload.

Care Packages -
All too many times people select a kill streak you don't normally achieve. If you generally only reach a max kill streak at five kills. By all means don't select the attack dogs, as your kill streak. Design the kill streaks based on your skill, and set reachable kill streaks. The spy planes and counter spy planes are not the sexy kill streaks, but at the same time they can be very useful.

Take the time to understand how you play, and how good you truly are. Then design you load outs for your skill level. The idea is to get lots of kills and points, so you can unlock levels and guns.

Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion

Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion is almost identical to Super Smash Bros. Did Papaya Studio simply copy the idea from that game or what? There are four main characters that fight it out in arenas. You have to be careful here and watch your health meter because the higher it goes the more damage you have sustained, until eventually you are kicked out of the game.

The game features a few secret characters that can be unlocked, but you will first have to play through the single story mode. The narrative is told by the famous George Lowe and he does a very good job of talking you through the story. The acting however, is shoddy and poorly done. The developer didn't pay much attention to making a great game here. It seems they released the prototype onto the market.

If you play the single player mode, you jump over pits, fight baddies, and collect health. It's pretty much common stuff, but the scrolling is bad, and your movements are not precise, the fighting doesn't seem to be all that enjoyable. Sometimes you can encounter jerky movements and the controls don't seem to respond.

As you progress from one level to the next, you find the game becomes boring. There is nothing new in the upper levels, everything you do is exactly the same in all of the levels. The only difference you notice is the scenery, which does change every time you move onto a higher level. You can progress quickly as the levels are small and easy to play. You don't face any serious challenges.

If you played Super Smash Bros, you will hardly want to play this game. It's as if you're playing the same game, but the version that was still in development. So now you're playing a half game, and you will feel disappointment and probably quit the game before you even reached halfway. You won't want to limber on to unlock the special characters because your enthusiasm will be dampened by the sheer simplicity and awkwardness of this game. It's a game that makes you feel miserable. Don't play it before bedtime, you'll have nightmares.

The game seems to be filled with glitches and bugs that ruin your gameplay. Even at times when the game is running smoothly, there simply is no enjoyment in playing it. The multi-player mode promises a better experience, but when you finally try it, you find it's just as poor as single player mode. Your friends will hate you for getting them to play this game with you.

The 3D does not even look like 3D. Other games that use 3D have a much better effect. Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion is not worth your time and effort. If you pass this game by, you won't be sorry and perhaps it is the best thing to do. Don't waste your hard earned money on a game that doesn't deliver. Gamers want entertainment, and they want to enjoy the games they play. This game promises neither.

Analysis of Red Ring of Death in Xbox 360 With Other Failures

Xbox 360, Microsoft's video game console is subject to many issues besides the general hardware failure nick named the Red Ring of Death. Since its release in 2005, Xbox 360 is under controversies for the higher failure rates and Microsoft not only had to extend the warranty period of the device due to failure complaints but eventually launched an upgraded version 'Xbox 360 S' covering the issues like red ring of death error. Though the general hardware failure brought a very bad name to the device and damaging the overall goodwill of the company but it was not the only failure detected. Many other failures listed below were also contributing towards the customer's dissatisfaction.

1. Hardware failure

Hardware failure is the result of malfunctioning of any component on the motherboard and is indicated by a one led flashing around the power button. Usually an error code is also displayed on the bottom of screen referring to the component causing the failure like E74. This is more commonly known as one red light problem. The light that flashes red is Q4. Though it is not critical as the red ring of death error but in 2009 Microsoft had to amend its warranty and covered the one red light problem in it.

2. Overheating

This is an indication of the status of the Xbox 360 rather than a failure. When console gets overheated and the temperature of the console gets higher than a predefined level it shuts down the CPU and GPU simultaneously and starts running the fans at full speed to cool it down. In the meanwhile the two red lights start flashing until the temperature gets down sufficiently. Once the device is cooled down it is ready to be run again. To avoid this kind of situation continuous long duration gaming sessions should be divided into fairly smaller sessions and in between the sessions the console must be powered off and plugged out of the socket. It is better to keep it in an airy and well ventilated place.

3. AV cable error

All the four lights flash red when the AV cable is not connected or connected but console cannot detect it. It is a sort of status message than a mere fault so when you will connect back the cable the lights will automatically goes off and console returns back into normal operation.

4. General hardware failure or Red ring of death error

The most notorious one! The red ring of death error is deadly dangerous to turn the console into a brick. When three red lights start flashing it is time to ponder. Although it can be efficiently recovered with care in the home too but needs a bit of expertise. General hardware failure is indicated by flashing of three lights and is termed as a general hardware failure. It could GPU, CPU any other component on motherboard causing the problem. Mainly, the reason behind the red ring of death error is the bad design by Microsoft. Any sort of vibration or over heating results in the movement and expansion of the material and this causes the GPU to leave its place from the motherboard. Thus GPU gets loose on motherboard and red ring of death error appears.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

One of the most popular games recently released is Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox and PS3 gaming consoles. This game has been a big hit ever since it was out in the market on November 9, 2010. It is a first-person shooter game that was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.

Black Ops is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty franchise but is only the third game to be developed by Treyarch. Black Ops is the first in the series on the Cold War but is the sequel to the Call of Duty: World at War game.

It has accumulated more than $1 Billion in sales in the first six weeks upon release. It has broken records set by its predecessor Modern Warfare by at least 2.5 million copies. Its popularity keeps on growing all over the world. In Japan, there were game releases with subtitles and dubbed versions 1 month after the game was released into the market.

Call of Duty: Black Ops enables a player to assume the role of a soldier with access to various firearms (at most 2 can be carried at anytime), use lots of explosives including grenades, and use various weapons. The game closely resembles an adrenaline-rush battlefield and employs a kill or be killed strategy. A player can even choose to kill an enemy using a knife with just one blow.

The game depicts a realistic take on how people who go into battle. Players can easily be controlled to jump, run and walk. A player's posture can also be controlled. For instance, a player can take in a standing, crouching, or prone stance. Each stance will affect the player's speed, stealth and accuracy. A player can run for a short time but will become tired.

The player's health is indicated on the screen which will turn red to show extensive damage. One of the exciting features of this game is that when a grenade is thrown, a marker that indicates the grenade's direction will appear which can help the player either flee or throw back the grenade as long as the player is within the radius of the grenade's blast. Aside from guns and explosives, other weapons that can be used in the game are ballistic knives, crossbows with explosive ammunition and bolts, and Dragon's Breath rounds.

A player can assume the role of various in-game characters in the course of the single-player campaign with lots of perspective changing all throughout the game. The characters that can be played belong to the Special Forces group who are conducting black operations inside enemy territory.

Call of Duty: Black Ops features plenty of scripted cinematic moments including a bullet time effect in the "Victor Charlie" stage which is activated when the player shoots toward the very last member of a Viet Cong squadron.

One of the best features in Black Ops is that it can be used to play multiplayer online matches with other people from around the world. Players are divided into two teams that have different missions. In Team Deathmatch, the objective is to have more kills than the other team while in Capture the Flag, the players need to take the other team's flag and bring it into their base. There is also the "Free For All" setting where its every man for them self, players are not divided into teams in this setting.

Black Ops already has 14 maps and additional downloadable maps. It still retains the unlockable reward system and experience points that have been with the franchise since the fourth game. It also has a "Zombie cooperation mode" which was originally included in the World at War game.

Call of duty Black Ops is really one of the best games out there that will surely keep you entertained at home. It is the best selling game for the Xbox and PS3 consoles.

Runespell Overture

Runespell Overture is a puzzle game with cards. You try and beat your opponent by getting the best poker hand. The cards are laid out in solitaire style. On your turn to play you can take up to three actions. You can move a card. You can cast a spell or attack. You have to make stacks of 5 cards like a poker hand and that will be an attack. If the hand is very good, the attack will be powerful. Eg, a pair is 8 points of damage. A royal flush will be 50.

You will pick up on the game as you play. You will be thinking all the time and making decisive decisions is all part of the fun. You will be thinking if you should take another card which could be useful to your opponent, or ruinous to yourself. The game seems to be interesting at the beginning, but as you progress you begin to feel it's not making any sense.

You get rage points every time you receive damage. You can spend these points on health, buy damage, or deal damage to your enemy. You have to get into a fight first to know how much damage you are sustaining or to know how much damage you can cause. Does that make any sense?

The levels get more and more complicated as you advance. Mythic Poker is similar but seems to be more fun than this. The spells become more powerful in the advancing levels. Some battles have to be won with cards and you can't use spells. If you use the wrong card you can get damaged.

The story doesn't seem to make much sense either. The characters are displayed with beautiful graphics and art. The music isn't too bad though. The game looks good visually and there is no denying that the colors and sharp contrasts add visual appeal to the game, but there is no depth in the story. It's like reading a book and the story is haphazard and has no ending or finalization.

If an author wrote a book and then suddenly ran out of ideas halfway through and gave up, his book would be a failure and wouldn't make it to the printers, but that's what happened in Runespell Overture and the author went ahead and published it and started selling it, so your story has no closure or ending.

The only opponents you face are those in the computer. The multi-player is absent. This is a huge let-down as almost all games nowadays have a multi-player function. It is a well known fact that when games fail to deliver, the multi-player mode is what makes it still acceptable as players like to play against live opponents who are unpredictable and can deliver a good few surprises to an uninteresting game.

Shadows of the Damned - Reviewed

Shadows of the Damned follows demon hunter and quintessential badass Garcia Hotspur as he fights his way through hell to rescue his beloved Paula. Haven't you heard this somewhere before?

No. You haven't. No one can say they truly understand the gist of a Suda 51 game (or Suda 51 trip as the box adequately puts it) without having played it first. In that sense, this review is a bit fruitless. Shadows of the Damned is nuts, inside and out. Just like other Suda games, it's similar to nothing else. It's this unique, influential insanity that make all of Suda's games so great and so important. So in short, if you've never acquainted yourself with a Suda51 game in the past, do so-- you wont regret it--, then come back. That understanding needs to be clear. Otherwise I might as well be speaking Latin.

That being said, Damned is the most coherent of Suda's titles, which again, isn't saying a lot, but at least It's premise is summarizable for the back of the box. Paula, Garcia's squeeze, is kidnapped by Fleming, Lord of all demons, and now you must battle through all of hell's creatures in order to reach Fleming and save the damsel.

The first thing that really popped out upon entering hell was just that, hell. The environment. Gamers have been to hell numerous times, but not this hell. Memorable environments in games I often like to equate to walking through a good amusement park. Everything around you, to the textures of the ground to the glow of the street lamps help aid in the illusion of a fantastical setting. And with the heralded Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame at the reins of sound design, it wont take long for you to get completely immersed in Damned's world. Hell is the locale for the games entirety and not once did I feel fatigued by any similar environments; each "Act" is genuinely fresh and brings a new spin to the game. Sometimes the rules are just thrown out along with a dimension and suddenly you're in a side-scrolling SHMUP. Yup, Awesome.

It's easy to call Damned a shooter, you use a gun, it dispenses bullets and hell monkeys fall. But it doesn't really feel like a shooter. It's more in-your-face and visceral than any shooter and that's something that should be applauded. It didn't follow suit with a typical run and gun feel, it paved its own path and it paid off immensely. The weapon at your disposal is also your partner in hell, Johnson the former-demon-talking-skull. Johnson shifts forms to three different weapons that evolve as your progress does through the game. Red gems you collect through the game can be used at the players convenience to upgrade passive attributes of the weapons. The results are significant, but not very exciting. You can also perform one melee attack. And... That's it. A bit anemic, but it still works pretty well and combat, just like the level design, remains fresh and exciting until the end. The end which comes after 10 hours of gameplay and therein lies Damned's achilles heel.

In an industry that more often than not provides customers with sometimes hundreds of hours of gameplay, having a singular 10 hour or less experience doesn't cut it. There's a hard mode and trophies, but not including those would just be insulting. Beyond that there's literally nothing. What's worse, I don't think the story should be any longer, it was well paced and ended on a perfect note, but it simply isn't enough. I'm not saying use tired methods to extend the game's life span like recycling environments, but at least extend to the player a little bit of added value. A boss survival mode, extra unlocks like costumes, weapons, abilities-- anything. The original No More Heroes encouraged multiple playthroughs by throwing in very arbitrary/relatively pointless collectibles, but it still felt like something to work at and look forward to after the credits. I think it's a perfectly avoidable flaw and it's unfortunate that an otherwise spectacular and inspired game has such little replayability.

To Summarize:

Make no mistake, if you're a fan of Suda 51 titles or games that think outside the box, this game is for you. I have no problem suggesting it to fans of its niche, but to those who might be making a gamble with their $60, It'll be a hit or miss and nothing in between. Shadows of the Damned brings the goods, just not enough of them.

Top Three Educational Xbox Games for Your Family

The world of console gaming at home has just become more exciting with new titles that take advantage of Xbox 360 motion-sensing control technology. Microsoft's Kinect motion-controlled system for its Xbox 360 allows you to enjoy the latest Xbox games without wired controllers getting in the way.

How does Kinect work?

To work properly, Kinect sensor has to sit in front of you, and along the same plane of your TV. Using an array of cameras and microphones to detect and track the movement of up to two players, the Kinect will translate the motions into game control signals. You jump and your character onscreen jumps. Whichever way you look at it, the Kinect certainly adds a new dimension to your gaming experience.

If your children love Kinect and are excited about buying the latest Xbox 360 game, it is a good idea to check what the kids are playing with so you can exercise your judgment on what goes into your kid's Xbox console. Here are the top three educational games for the Xbox 360, with or without Kinect, that any child will enjoy, and are just as entertaining for adults in the family.

Kinectimals

Designed to enthrall the youngest Xbox players, Kinectimals, as the name suggest, uses the Kinect game peripheral to interact with 20 various animals in high definition video. These cuddly animals can be trained as they mimic your movements like jumping and spinning that brings the gaming experience into a whole new dimension for kids. If there's one game that can teach young children about loving animals, this has to be it. But that doesn't mean older pet lovers in the family are too old to enjoy it. Who doesn't enjoy tiger and lion cubs that react warmly to your petting?

LEGO Harry Potter

When you have two of the most popular names in kid's play and the movie world, you just can't fail. Targeting young kids, the LEGO Harry Potter game is a marriage of our favorite Danish building bricks with the Hogwarts characters of J.K. Rowling. In this game, Harry goes through his first four years in the the Hogwarts school of magic. Fans of the books can easily recognize the characters in the series even if they appear as stiff LEGO characters. Parents or older siblings will need to help younger kids navigate through the game and solve its tricky puzzles, making it a terrific game for the entire family.

Toy Story 3

Now who can't fall in love with the lovable Woody and Buzz Lightyear franchise, especially with the highly acclaimed 3rd installment? This is not just for kids, but for kids at heart as well. While not all games based on movies are good, this is one gem of an exception, even if it's not one of the Xbox games that require a Kinect sensor. Apart from sticking close to the movie's storyline, you get to play through various puzzle activities with your choice of character. Aside from this, there is also a "Toy Box" mode that lets you explore creative worlds of each toy character found in the movie like race cars in a farm circuit and army toys parachuting onto targets.

Lastly, if you are like me who is interested with these video games, you may want to check out my latest blog about the top bestselling new games for Xbox 360. The post is my latest product review about the xbox 360 new games.

Why the Sega Dreamcast Didn't Do That Well

9/9/99 Is a very strong and vivid day to many gamers around the world. That's the day that the long awaited and awesome Sega Dreamcast came out. Well in North America at least. Sega sold 500,000 units in just two weeks in the United States alone, having hardware shortages and not being able to catch up with the empty stock. It was definitely leaps and bounds, if you will, over the PlayStation and N64. Sega had a fail with the Sega 32X, the Sega CD, and the Sega Saturn. They only really had a strong run with their Genesis, which is still the best selling console in Brazil today. The Dreamcast was truly Sega's last effort to regain all the momentum they lost after the Genesis, but with all the fails they produced it would end up not being near enough to get the job done.

Sony had their first PlayStation console release in 1994 and it became a massive success worldwide. It was the first console to sell 100 million units worldwide. It really could do no wrong, with great graphics, games, and just in general the best console vs Sega and Nintendo. Fans fell in love with Sony's console, and the sales reflected that fact. It wouldn't lose it's momentum much like Sega's Genesis. But unlike Sega, Sony wouldn't have epic fails follow the release of PlayStation.

Enter PlayStation 2. It was released in 2000, 15 months after the Dreamcast. This particular Sony product had two things going for it: it had great momentum from the PlayStation, and it had a DVD player built in. This truly was the beginning of the end for the Dreamcast. Even though it sold very well initially, and was the first console to be available to play online, it just couldn't stand up to the power of the PlayStation 2. And the hype for PlayStation 2 certainly didn't help. When most of the gamer community is behind a particular console, it will generally sell the best, even if it's not the best overall console. It's a sad fact that the Dreamcast died so early, with it barely selling 10 million consoles.

With the fact that the sells were so low, and with the choice to either quit hardware or die trying, Sega opted out of the hardware manufacturing business. At least as far as home hardware goes, since they still make Arcade hardware. After the Dreamcast failed they would go on to make games for the others, Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube. They did do something right with the Dreamcast though. They ended on a positive note. The sales certainly didn't show it, but Dreamcast was the first Sega console since the Genesis to be well received and be innovative well above the others. Sega just had too many past fails, and the Dreamcast suffered for it.

Comparing Local Video Games Store To Online Video Games Store

You might have noticed lately that there are many more video games store today compare to twenty years ago. As computer technologies improved over the span of 30 years the game industry has also flourishes and this resulted into superior game consoles and games with higher resolutions. A lot of these stores don't just sell newly released games but they also sell older and second-hand games which makes it reasonable even for gamers who are on a tight budget.

Since all the major video game companies such as Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo has created some of the most phenomenal game consoles such as the Xbox, PlayStation, and Wii respectively, the insatiable demands for newer and improved games has greatly contributed to the multi-billion dollar video games industry. The success of these large corporations has also contributed to the creations of many video games store that popped up throughout the world and helped distribute myriads of games titles and game related accessories.

The advent of high-speed internet connection has also made the online video games store more accessible and efficient at the same time. Avid and seasonal gamers now have the luxury to try out upcoming game titles so they can determine if they want to buy the game in the future. Gamers also no longer obligated to drive to the nearest shopping mall because they can now buy them at the comfort of their home. However, some fear that online stores might affect the sale volume of games in many brick and mortar stores who rely mostly on people who visit their store.

But like the physical brick and mortar stores that are found in many commercial shopping centers, online stores have some reward and drawbacks as well. One of the major advantages of online store is it allow gamers to tryout different games without leaving their home. This method also gives them more free time to play their games instead of driving to the shopping mall just to determine if it is worth buying or not. Another advantage is that once they paid for the games they bought over the internet, the items will be delivered directly to their home address and most of the time it arrives within one week from the day they've purchased it.

But the disadvantage of purchasing games online is that the person must wait for at least an entire week before they can actually play it. Another disadvantage is that their purchased game can potentially get lost in the mail or even unintentionally get the wrong order when it finally arrives.

Keep in mind that there are hardcore gamers who still prefer to go to their local video games store to buy new and second-hand games because they don't want to wait for an entire week just to play it. One of the benefits of purchasing games from many local games store is that the person can return any game right away if it happens to be defective.

But the influence of the internet to many small and large businesses is inevitable. You might have already noticed that many of the local businesses in your own town has already set up their own websites to provide adequate information about their business and to promote their merchandise and services where their consumers can easily access them. And like many retail stores everywhere, local video games store are likely to have their own websites that allow their customers to browse and purchase their products online. These websites generally catalog their online products in a way that will make it easier for their customers to browse through and to help them locate what they are looking for.

In conclusion, the brick and mortar video games store is as important as the online stores. Both types of retailer contribute to the multibillion-dollar industry. The brick and mortar stores allow gamers to buy new and second-hand games and even allow them to play it on the same day they have purchased the game. On the other hand, gamers who prefer to purchase their games online must wait at least an entire week before they can actually play it. But those who buy games over the internet believes that the luxury of shopping online at the comfort of their home is well worth the wait because it saves them gas and time since they are no longer obligated to drive down to their local video games store.

Ken Chew has a website that sell wide selections of newly released and used DVDs and blu ray movies. He also has a physical video games store where you can purchase the latest and hottest video games and game related accessories.

How To Backup Your Wii Games

Your Wii games are an expensive investment that you should take care to protect. The sure way to protect them is to make copies of them.

However...Nintendo, like all companies, wants you to use their authentic games in their consoles...as you would if you were the maker of such a system. Is it fair though to suggest you should buy a new game every time one you already purchased is somehow deemed unplayable...or simply lost?

I don't think it is.

There is software out there to give you the ability to backup your Wii games. Most of it is iffy.

It took me a long time to come to this conclusion... that there are only three or four reliable software programs that will do what you are looking for...make copies of your Wii games. It is the end result of a lot of testing... and running miles on the internet.

There are ways you can backup your games from your hard drive, but they are long and complicated procedures that require a good knowledge of technology to be able to do it successfully.

When you are searching for some source of help in how to backup your Wii games, be aware of the fact that most of the offers out there are guides. These guides send you to some free program and then guide you in how to use that program, charging you $30 or so for the free software...software that does not work very well and can be very dangerous for your Wii.

You want to find a piece of software that easily backs up all of your Wii games, producing clean clear complete copies. Ideally you should want it to be able to make backups not only of Wii games, but of Xbox games, Xbox 360 games, games for PS3, Gamecube, Dreamcast, and all videos and movies... even those you have made yourself or would like to make from video files on the computer.

You want to find a great piece of software that does not ask you to modify your Wii. You want to know it is safe and will not cause your warranty to be voided and that it is also legal.

You also do not want to need a crash course in high technology to be able to use the software.

Another important feature is price. You want software that is affordable.

Once you find a software program that offers all of the above... you will of course have found what you are looking for, good software that will backup your Wii games.

Along with a great piece of software... you will have found peace of mind over your Wii investment.

Find out more...

Amy has been testing backup software for the Nintendo Wii for most of the past eight months. After much trial and error... the Easy Backup Wizard has proven itself to be the only piece of software available to deserve a five star rating. Check it out and you will surely agree with her.

How to Raise Your K/D Ratio in All Online Shooter Games

No matter how great you are at capturing flags, defending nodes, and scouting the enemy's territory, your skill will be judged on how high your k/d ratio is. If you are unaware, your k/d is a ratio of your kills and deaths, e.g., 20 kills and 10 deaths would be a k/d ratio of 2. In nearly all console shooter games, a k/d ratio of 1.0 is the average. Anything over 1.0 is good, but the more dominant players will be around 2.0 or even higher. It is important to work your hardest to improve your k/d ratio. There are many squads and clans that have a minimum k/d ratio requirement to join.

There are several ways that are common amongst all the console shooter games to raise your k/d ratio. Every game will have a sensitivity setting under the options menu. Play around with different sensitivities, working your way from low to high until you find the one suited for you. Playing on a team is vital to having a high k/d ratio. If you don't know anyone who plays the same game, send friend request to your fellow competitors. There are also many forums across the internet, where players unite and list their gamertags so that they never have to play alone.

Play style can determine how successful you will be at have a high k/d ratio. Don't camp in a single spot, eventually an enemy you killed will just toss a grenade from a safe location hoping you are still sitting exactly where you were when you killed him. The play style I promote involves killing a few enemies from a single location, then moving to an area where you have a line of sight to your previous location. With revenge on their minds, the enemies you just gunned down several seconds ago will blindly rush your previous location, allowing for several more easy kills. Rinse and repeat this method for a surefire way to raise your k/d ratio.

While having a mindset of needing to obtain maximum kills may work for some, it doesn't for others. I suggest that you move to a more defensive way of thinking. Focus on keeping yourself alive. Killing any enemies that are a direct threat, but not leaving yourself open to mental errors that often come with "run and gun" style of play.

I hope you find this information to be useful. For more tips and strategies to raise your k/d ratio across various console shooter games please visit www.RaiseMyKD.com.

Tony Lam is the creator of http://www.raisemykd.com/, a website dedicated to helping gamers raise their k/d ratio across various online console shooter games.

While most gamers are pleased with the use of standard controllers, other manufacturers are giving away accessories that intended to supersede the difficulties of using the standard controllers. Some of these high-quality controllers have features that make gaming longer, more comfortable and enjoyable. Say for example the use of joysticks. It is best used when playing flight games. Wireless controllers permit you to enjoy games even if you are a few miles away from the screen. If you are pleased with standard controllers, you may have to buy one for multi-player sittings.

Audio Devices

Budget players will go for TVs with built in speakers, but if you wish to have a more interactive play, you can install a few more speakers. Specific gaming titles can handle multi speaker configurations so the sounds get better and are lifelike.

If you don't have enough budgets to purchase extra speakers, you can just use one pair of nice speakers that aren't that expensive, but it is still best to make use of a subwoofer. Another practical substitute is to purchase one pair of headsets or headphones intended for games. These kinds of games accessories are excellent for playing computer games so you can secretly hear other speak and converse to co-gamers hassle free.

Hardware Modifications

Computer gaming systems may not include all of the hardware it requires to enjoy the newest gaming titles. If purchasing a brand new PC is quite expensive, you may just upgrade your processor or video card. If you prefer a much cheaper process, add some additional RAM. Make sure to ask a salesman or probably perform some researches before purchasing a brand new card. You must check if your power supply can support it or if the video card is just right in your casing. It may require you to modify your power supple and to prevent video card flops.

Additional Video Games Accessories

Gaming gears and video game consoles are very much the same to other heavy items in when it comes to heat production. So, you must also purchase additional video games accessories such as stands and cooling systems so you can enjoy playing for longer period of hours. Other gaming systems are dependent on memory cards and hard disks to save game information and at times the games themselves. You can buy high-end models so you can save other files as well.

I've just purchased some new and cool game equipment and game accessories online, they offer a wide variety to choose from and the best deals that you won't be able to find in stores or shops!

PS3 With the YLOD Error - 5 Tips To Fix the Playstation 3 Yellow Light of Death

If your PS3 is suffering with the Yellow Light of Death or YLOD error, there is every chance that if your machine does not have a current warranty you will be looking for a PS3 YLOD repair service.

The YLOD usually means a general hardware failure within the console.

Sending your PS3 to the manufacturer for repair or finding a local repair service can be very expensive, and you may get a refurbished machine back, minus the data you had saved on your hard drive.

In addition, some PS3 owners have run into repeat problems or new errors after having their system fixed. That can end up in even more repairs and costs.

Here are some of the PS3 fixes you can try yourself.

1. Switch off and Reboot.

Turn your machine off and let it cool down thoroughly and start over again.

2. Cables and Connections.

Check for loose cables. Sometimes this simple check can be all it takes to fix that annoying yellow PS3 light issue. Make sure that all the cables are tight and connected properly.

3. The Hard Drive.

The Playstation's hard disk is known to cause some problems. Sometimes when installing a game, it is possible for the Yellow Light of Death to appear.

A possible solution to this does require some knowledge of removing the Playstation 3's hard disk and re-formatting it on your personal computer.

All of your saved games, downloaded content and other data on your hard disk will be lost with this method.

You will need to remove the PS3 hard drive and connect it to your personal computer, select the PS3 drive and then reformat the drive. Re-insert the PS3 disk into the console and boot it up.

4. Cooling and Overheating.

One of the first things you can do to fix your PS3 YLOD problems is to turn off your PS3.

Just simply turn off your PS3 for at least 20 minutes or so. This will allow your PS3 to cool down.

Take your console out to a cool place, remove all the cables and use a low power vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust from all the vents. Many PS3 errors are due to overheating, and vents clogged with dust accumulation. Check that the fans are working.

5. Fix it Yourself.

A good PS3 repair system should include fixes for a whole range of problems that may show up - including the various error lights, blu-ray drive problems, and many other issues.

Most of these problems can be easily fixed with tools you almost certainly have in the house already. A good PS3 repair manual should have illustrated instructions, as well as video guides to walk you through the process.

Three Awesome Reasons Why Madden 12 Will Be The Best Madden Yet

With Madden 11 behind us and Madden 12 rapidly approaching, the question on everyone's mind is the same: What's in store for the popular NFL football game franchise this time around? If you were worried that the answer to that question might be "not much," then worry no more. There are three awesome reasons why Madden 12 is shaping up to be the best Madden we've ever seen, and they couldn't have come at a better time.

1) New Collision System -- If you've ever played Madden before, then it won't take long for you to recognize what I mean when I say "tumbleweed tackles." The inability for multiple players to truly influence a tackle has been a problem in Madden for years, and has really hampered down the otherwise superb gameplay element of the Madden NFL franchise. In Madden 12, you can say goodbye to tumbleweed tackles and hello to a brand new collision system designed to help not only mitigate if not entirely eliminate the problems of consecutive hit tackling, but also to remove the dreaded suction tackles of the past, where defenders would suck in players like a vacuum cleaner when trying to make a tackle.

2) Enhanced Presentation -- It's not often that presentation means too much to the hardcore fans of the football game world, but when that presentation includes finally implementing NFL team mascots, cheerleaders and authentic team entrances, it's hard not to get excited. Anyone who has ever been to an NFL game knows how big of a draw the sideline antics of mascots and cheerleaders are, and anyone who has ever watched a Jacksonville Jaguars team entrance knows that there is something special about watching Jaxson deVille running out of the tunnel in a cloud of smoke with an American flag in his hand.

3) Custom Playbooks -- For years, Madden fans have been begging for the ability to make their own playbooks, and Madden 12 looks to finally deliver on those wishes. With custom playbooks, players will be able to truly create their own style of gameplay by developing their own strategy from ground up, starting with which plays should be in their arsenal of plays. For a Madden guru, football is as much about plays as it is about the players executing them, so having the ability to customize your own playbooks to your liking should go a long way to energizing a fan base that may have been a little disappointed in more generic additions to last year's Madden title, like GameFlow and the Strategy Pad control system.

David is more than just a Madden fan, he's a Madden guru. When David isn't giving you three great reasons to pick up Madden this year, he can be found discussing the upcoming Madden NFL 12 video game in even more detail on his popular Madden 12 blog.

Alice Madness Returns

The first Alice was released in 2000 by McGee an American gaming developer. It depicted Alice in Wonderland with a bizarre tale that was so enthralling Alice became an overnight success. Everyone loved Alice, even those who hated fairytale romances.

McGee finally released the sequel Alice: Madness Returns this year. The magic of Alice in wonderland is once again the talk of the gaming industry. The scenes are magical. The graphics are exactly what you would expect from a tale set in a fairytale land. The gameplay is exciting and there is not a boring moment to be had. The music sets the mood for an eerie era and you will have many hours of fun playing Alice: Madness Returns.

The game starts with Alice confined to a madhouse. Her doctors try to counsel her but Alice soon returns to wonderland. She takes on the responsibility of saving wonderland and also to save herself from madness. Alice meets up with all the old characters like the mad hatter and a few others. The characters are beautifully portrayed in this marvelous fairytale adventure in wonderland. Some of them are hostile towards Alice and she has to be wary of enemies who would like to harm her. She has a variety of weapons at her disposal but the primary weapon is the vorpal blade. Alice must collect teeth and this is the games currency. She can buy new weapons and there are plenty of exciting weapons included in this new episode of Alice: Madness Returns. All the weapons from the previous episode are there and so are a few new ones included by the developer to make Alice: Madness Returns a really wonderful sequel.

Alice can perform a variety of movements like jump, walk, float, etc. The obstacles are not all that hard to engage. Even much younger gamers can overcome them easily, but that doesn't make for an easy adventure. You will still find it quite a daunting task to complete all the missions despite your age. As in the real story of wonderland Alice can shrink and this is useful as she discovers new pathways and trails. There are many exciting things to collect and add to your treasure on these pathways so it's important that you don't skip them. Lost memories and pig snouts are amongst some of the things that you collect.

Although the graphics are excellent and the game engine is smooth and responsive, there are no real new elements added to the game. You won't get the feeling that you are playing a modern game with the latest technologies. This can give you a feeling that you are playing something that is quite outdated. There are plenty of 2D scenarios, but nothing fantastic. Its overall a mediocre game reminiscent of something created a few years back.

Each chapter is somewhat different from the previous and you won't feel as if you're playing the same levels over and over again. From dollhouses to underwater enclaves, Alice is driven deeper into a world of wonder. The wonderful music will indeed capture your imagination and put you in the mood of intense admiration for the beautiful land you are about to explore.

You will never tire of exploring Alice's wonderland in this adventure. Although there is nothing spectacular to hold your imagination, it's still hard to put down the controls until you are done.

Play BMX Games

Since the late 70s, BMX bike riding is no longer an underground movement. By the first X-Games tournament in 1995, BMX has become an iconic youth culture phenomenon with plenty of skate parks in its wake. Classic stunt legends such as Ryan Nyquist, Dave Mirra, and Matt Hoffman have left impressionable young audiences awestruck with their live performances. These pros endorsed what would later become the niche market for young bicycle video gamers of today, who play BMX games to emulate the same stunt maneuvers as these hailed pros. The video game industry has responded to BMX fans with an outstanding number of bike games. There are plenty of successful video games to choose from, such as Matt Hoffman Pro BMX 2 for Xbox, and Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 3 for the Game Boy Advanced.

It is fairly important to recognize the impact cycling icons like Matt Hoffman and Dave Mirra have on the industry, and why these games attract children who are both casual and hardcore gamers alike. Firstly, traditional racing games require too much focus on reaching a goal in an allotted period of time. It can be difficult for people, especially the inexperienced, to increase their skills and explore hidden features with the little time a race provides. A BMX game on the other hand often utilizes a Freeride mode, which allows inexperienced gamers to practice and increase their level of skill without a time limit, and explore the playing field for fun. Take Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 on the Play Station 2 for example.

However, the other practical reason why BMX games are so endearing is that the rules are simple to understand. This is because BMX games are typically based off of the classic pro bicycling tournaments. Due to simplicity, these games usually do not require endless hours of consistent day to day commitment like other games on the market, which are designed only for the hardcore gamer. Though despite being basic, BMX games provide enough challenges for both novice and experienced gamers, with a variety of difficulty levels to choose from. Especially in Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, where players can use a park editor to create their own skate parks for endless possibilities that offers difficulty that the player directly decides. Something that cannot be said for many sports games of other genres.

If you are going to play games, definitely consider buying a bike game, and add a BMX game to your collection. Go to your local video game retailers and play today! If you are looking for the perfect gift for your loved ones and they love to play games, Matt Hoffman's example is an excellent choice for a gift, especially if they enjoy bike games or sports. With the growing trend of people who like to play games, people who choose to play bmx games has become a mainstream pastime, accrediting bike games as a reliable source of entertainment.

Steps To Take to Deal With PS3 Freeze

Have you ever noticed that when a brand new console is launched into the marketplace, everyone finds out pretty quickly that the first generation has a lot of problems with it? It seems like that is more true today than ever when you look at the consoles that companies are releasing into the market. One problem with them seems to be that the companies are making them like computers, and everyone knows that computers can have a lot of problems. The PlayStation 3 is now exhibiting that very same trend. Can anything be done to prevent the PS3 freeze and make it work properly like it did when it was brand new?

One thing you should ask yourself is whether your PS3 freeze might be caused by too much heat. A lot of consoles have this problem and the PlayStation 3 seems to be especially vulnerable to freezing because of heat. This can happen to computers too. Heat can cause a freeze up or shutdown.

Here is something you can try to get it going again - Shut off the console for a few minutes and turn it on again. If you are lucky, this must might work. On the Xbox 360 when it was having a similar problem, some people said the console should be wrapped up in a towel and the towel would absorb the excess heat. This could actually cause a bigger problem because it would trap the heat even more. If you try it on your PS3 you could damage it even more, and it is not going to keep it from freezing.

Something else you should check for is whether any cables are loosened. A freeze could happen if the hard drive cable are not attached properly and is getting loose. Some of the other cables might be loose too, so check it out and see if you find anything. You might even want to take out the hard drive and put it back in, or maybe just replace the hard drive if you think that is where the problem is.

If none of these steps solve the problem, replace the cooling fan or put a cooling pad under the PS3. However, if this still does not solve the problem you will need to take more extreme steps. You will have to get a decent guide to help you with your PS3 freeze. You can find a lot of good guides on the internet but it can be tricky finding a good one that is a reasonable price.

If you are thinking of buying any product to fix your PS3 freeze situation, you should check out the user reviews first. It might seem like a lot of extra work, but if you get exactly the right guide, you will quickly be able to get your PlayStation 3 working like it is supposed to.
